Internship Program at North Shore Clinicians Group

Internship Program

Are you the kind of clinician who wants to become an exceptional one — who leans into unfamiliar clinical concepts instead of around them, and works to master them? Who takes pride in careful, high-quality work, brings real self-awareness to the room, and treats failure as a normal part of the learning curve rather than something to fear? If that sounds like you, we should talk.

Apply to intern

Our internship is built to give you a solid clinical foundation by the time you finish — grounded in the same foundational clinical models we teach across the practice.

You'll learn directly from experienced clinicians who share their expertise openly, inside a culture that prizes learning, mastery, and high-quality work. And because NSCG is a modern, growing private practice, it's a real opportunity to get in early and grow with us.

What you'll gain

A solid clinical foundation

By the time you finish, you'll have a working command of the foundational clinical models we build on across the practice — the same ones you'll see on the posters in every training room.

Learn from experienced clinicians

Supervision and mentorship from seasoned NSCG clinicians who share their expertise openly — not behind closed doors.

A culture of learning and mastery

We treat growth as the work. Questions, feedback, and iteration are the norm, and failure is understood as a predictable part of the learning curve.

Real, supported experience

Carry a caseload with the structure and support to do it well — challenged, but never thrown in the deep end.

Where you'll learn

Grounded in the Clinician Academy

Interns train on the foundational skills at the heart of the NSCG Clinician Academy — the clinical models that show up on the posters in every training room. It's the base we build every clinician on.

Who we're looking for

NSCG accepts interns in the second year of a graduate program (MSW, mental health counseling, or an equivalent clinical program) completing a practicum or internship placement.

You'll coordinate your placement with your university liaison — we'll ask for their contact information in the application so we can work with your program directly.
